Treatment

Treatment with the UVA/UVB cabin can help to reduce the symptoms of the diseaseThe treatment of skin diseases, such as inflammation, itching and scaling, improves the quality of life of the patients. The treatment is performed in short, frequent sessions, and its duration and frequency depend on the severity and extent of the skin condition.

With the light therapyThe skin’s immune system is reduced. This reduces the growth of cells in the top layer of the skin, which means that inflammatory changes in the skin heal. UVA light also has an anti-inflammatory and growth-inhibiting effect on deeper inflammatory cells.

How does it work?

The UVA rays y UVB penetrate the skin and act on pigment-producing cells, called melanocytes, to stimulate melanin production. Melanin is a pigment that colors the skin and protects against the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Treatment in the UVA and UVB cabin is performed in regular sessions and the radiation dose received by the patient is carefully monitored.

Results

The results of this treatment may vary depending on the skin condition being treated, the severity of the condition, the duration of treatment and the individual patient’s response.

In general, patients with psoriasis and other inflammatory skin disorders may experience an improvement in their symptoms after several sessions of UVA/UVB. Symptoms such as inflammation, redness and peeling of the skin may decrease, and the skin may feel softer and less irritated.
